This & That

I’m in pa for a few days right now. The H kids are both sick. It will be a miracle if I don’t end up sick again. EBH makes me go to bed in the 9s. What the hell. :) I don’t know why I forgot how homicidal driving from hatfield to blue bell makes me. But it took me just about 1 hour to drive 13 miles this morning. I will not be surprised if I rear end someone on this trip, there must be 65 lights between here and there.

I found out bethesda is at least 3 hours from here… I might need to leave work early on wed to make it to the hotel at a decent time. I hear the beltway is a bear.

MK called tonight saying she wants to go on a double date this weekend. :) she makes me laugh.

I’m in PA right now, tomorrow am cath, ebh and I go on a girls weekend to atlantic city. We splurged on a hotel and are staying center strip at the trump plaza. I am not really sure what we are going to do.. I guess ill just go with the flow. I think besides casinos there are beaches, shops, the boardwalk… I figure that at the very least I can nap. :)

Cath wants us to play poker. That should be amusing. :)

I’m not sure the weather is going to be very nice… but it’s sure to be fun with cath and ebh.

Cath and I picked up auds and ethan at daycare and I’m proud to report there were no tears. And…auds remembered me.

Ethan is gettting so long and big. He’s so adorable. I should take some pics tomorrow.

Alright, I have wine to drink.

the days are flying right off the calendar. will they ever slow down?!?

this past weekend i had a fantastic time in albany. saturday night was a great time.. like really great.

sunday was rough though. like, go to sleep at 4pm for the night rough. after a 2 hour nap earlier in the day. ;) good thing i don’t have kids.

so i shouldn’t have made such a bold statement about not traveling on the weekends in may in an earlier post. while i’m not traveling too much on weekends this upcoming month, i’m traveling all week instead. don’t get me wrong, i love to travel.. and god knows i love to drive, but my windows/yard will never get any attention with me driving all over the east coast.

this is what my schedule is breaking down to be…

april 30-may 2 – home, BDK and baby visiting.
may 2 – drive to EHs.
may 3-5 work from blue bell office.
may 6 – seminar in bethesda, md.
may 7 – work from lansdale, md office/drive home
may 8-19 – home.. sleep in on weekends? hopefully.
may 20 – drive to philly, pick up AT and family, drive to EHs.
may 21 – wake up super early, drive to MD for KHs wedding.
may 22-23 wedding things
may 23 – drive home.. while missing 3 hour LOST series finale.
may 24-26 – home
may 27 – drive to blue bell, pa office with coworkers
may 28 – drive to edison, nj office with coworkers/drive home
may 29-31 – enjoy memorial day weekend.

so out of 31 days, almost a third of them i will spend away from home. it’s kind of depressing to think that *if* i wanted to meet up with someone from albany, i won’t be available till may 8th. i better start some meditation. i’m becoming less and less spontaneous in my old age.

tonight is idol give back. my least favorite show of the season. just kick someone off already.

tonight S&PF came over with their babes, and so did mike, cath and SBH and her babes. all the kids were so cute… it’s funny how sometimes kids are shy with each other. it was a cryfest for about the 1st 30-45 minutes.

today after work i am going to visit MK and a visiting AL. we’re going to PF Changs… i am pretty excited, i haven’t been to one in a WHILE.

this past week was particularly productive for me.. i finished installing my under the counter lights (i didn’t realize how difficult drilling holes are), swapped out my snow tires, got my oil changed, made a haircut appt for p-head, did laundry, mowed the lawn, removed my nailpolish. :) (that’s for AR)

hopefully i can keep the productivity going next week.. cath is supposed to help me wash my windows… SH will be visiting with the girls mon-thur too. woo who.

something i won’t miss when my company moves downtown this summer is a print in the bathroom. it’s a scene from somewhere in france. it makes me CRAZY to look at… i’ve marked up an image of the points that i hate. it will get larger if you click on it.

okay.. first off…i finally figured out the thing i hate the most. look at the perspective in the circle that i have at the top with the arrows. the side of the building is visible, so why can’t we see the side of the roof? the roof was painted from a completely different perspective.

secondly.. the sidewalk around the monument.. i’ve never seen asymmetrical placing of objects in real life. the short posts that surround the statue number 8. but all eight are visible, which makes his painting completely impossible..

thirdly, the people in the foreground with the umbrella (i’m forsaking the fact that they are even using an umbrella when it’s snow, not rain) two sets of tracks, 3 people.. is one of them a ghost? he seems to have “accurately” painted in tracks for all the other characters…

seriously, i hope this craptastic print was sold with the building and it doesn’t end up downtown.
