the RB news
I’ve collected some pics form the month of august mostly, but some from early sept..
you can see them here… there are the complete fair pics, teagan pics, green lakes pics and beers bash pics.
in case you didn’t heed my advice via twitter a couple weeks back, you really need to bookmark this guys twitter stream… it’ll bring tears of joy to your eyes… and for you laziest of bastards, i’ve added this stream to my site, right hand column….
this weekend lisa lampinelli, the queen of mean, is coming to the landmark. i think she’s funny, not my absolute favorite, but i love comedians and i live in syracuse which is not exactly a comedy haven… so you take what you can get. i’m hoping that being a member of the cirque club will allow me to buy tickets at a discount for the cirque show that is in town this week. that is something else that i LOVE…. if you haven’t seen a cirque show, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
we’re celebrating mike bday this sunday with a trip tp the casino to go to rodizio.. the best part is because cath is such a fierce gambling addict, she now has wasted lost played enough slot machines to qualify for the VIP card… which is just trouble… but… it allows for us to have complimentary alcohol drinks with dinner. :) we won’t have to steal the bottle of wine from the neighboring table like we did last time…
september has to be right up there with my absolute favorite months.. 2nd only to february for obvious reasons. :)
in september the weather is gorgeous, cool, but not COLD. warm but not stifling. and the leaves start to change colors.. :)
this 9th month also marks the beginning of school. I LOVE BACK TO SCHOOL, even though i am no longer a student, i love to wander down the school supply aisles, the back to college displays.. i have the urge to buy mead cosmopolitan books, hoard paper bags to cover my books, get some index cards… ahhh, love.
september also brings the new fall tv shows… i feel like the season always kicks off with the VMAs. even though i don’t think i’ve seen a video on MTV in over a decade… russell brand is hosting this year again. i like him.
alright, onto the good stuff.
i’ve gathered the debut times for all the shows i usually watch, and the new ones i think i am going to start DVRing….

Thursday’s are shaping up to be a cluster-F… why do all the shows play at the same time on Thurs… why compete with NBCs comedy line-up… ugh…
in case you are unfamiliar with some of the new shows, here is a quick explanation…
Shaq vs. (ABC)
this show is shaq competing against elite athletes in their own sports.. this coming week, he challenges Michael Phelps at swimming….
Community (NBC)
this is the joel mchale/chevy chase sitcom where joel lies about his education and has to go back to community college to keep his job. :) i think it’s only scheduled for 4 episodes right now, and will prob come back if the interest is good enough.
Bored to Death (HBO)
i don’t really know anything about this show except that zach galifianakis and jason schwartzman are in it.. i love jason S, and zach G was funny in the hangover…. plus are any of the shows on HBO ever bad? no.
Flash Forward (ABC)
from wikipedia…
A mysterious global event causes everyone to simultaneously experience, for two minutes and seventeen seconds, his or her life six months in the future. When it is over, many are dead in accidents involving vehicles, aircraft, and any other device needing human control. Everyone who survived is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.
joseph fiennes (shakespeare in love) and dominic monaghan (LOST, lord of the rings) are in it, and seth macfarlane is rumored to have a recurring guest role.. i guess it was originally developed for HBO.. and see my last comment about Bored to Death.
Modern Family
All i really know about his is that al bundy is in it.. and i like him. i’m giving it a look.
The Cleveland Show
does this really need explanation? the much anticipated family guy spin off.
1. it’s possible to go to the fair and not eat a bunch of fried food.
2. boys II men are still good almost 15 years later!
3. teagy is growing so fast! she will go up the steps and down the slide tirelessly as long as you let her.
4. picking two bushels of tomatoes is not as easy as it sounds. and i’m highly allergic to something in that tomato field.
5. canning tomatoes is fun, and kind of easy when you get in the groove of things.
6. four dates is long enough, and “don’t put the brakes on”.
7. i like when my house is all cleaned up. i should do it more often.
8. its great to see friends i don’t see very often…
last night was bilo’s wedding… it was well attended. it’s funny that 7 years prior i was in a wedding at that very location with most of the same people. we were supposed to witness the vows at the gazebo outside, but just as everyone was being seated it started to rain. we were then ushered into the reception hall to witness the ceremony… but they were able to take their photos outside as it cleared up by then.
i’m glad i wasn’t drunk this time around and was able to take in the whole night and enjoy the view.. i believe for S&Ps wedding it was raining/too dark to see the lake. (or i was too drunk.. prob a combination of all three things.)

and of course… :)

here are the rest of the photos.
this afternoon p-did, KW and i are going to go to green lakes to watch jeremy finish up his 60 mile endurance race. it blows my mind that someone would run (at all really) 60 miles for fun… but it looks like there are about 24 people running the 100K.
