i thought she was at his house and he was guilting her into staying…

this song reminds me of adam’s rant about gary pucketts songs and how all songs in the late 60′s were about getting young girls to let down tehir guard so he could bang them.

despite my hate for this song, i have 2 versions of it now in my itunes. :) love to hate!

You know, it’s funny, I was just referencing this song to mum while decorating the tree Saturday. This is actually one of my favorites because I love Bing Crosby and have him and Doris Day on my iPod singing this tune. If you had listened to Xmas songs in my car, you HAD to have heard this one.

But the song we were listening on Saturday was “Let it Snow” and I said to Mum, “This is like the ‘Baby it’s cold outside’ song where men use the cold as an excuse to sleepover.” I also went on to say that those women were stupid to pass up a good time by sending those men out in the cold. She laughed and said “it’s SUPPOSED to be that way.”
